Music Through the Ages
A look at music through the decades, the technology that made it possible and how music has changed over the past 100 years.
We link modern artists that we all know and love back to the key musicians & performers that have influenced the music we listen to today. We try to cover as much of the UK National Curriculum for Music as possible in one workshop.
We do this by;
- Performing live music of many genres
- Allowing children to evaluate live & recorded music
- Looking at the works of the great composers
- Explaining music composition & music production
- Exploring musical terminology
- Allowing the children to handle old & new music technology
- Looking at musical notation
- Crating a deep understanding of the history of music
