Crime & Punishment
Look at some of the most brutal sections of the history of our countries legal system. This workshop looks at crime & punishment from Anglo-Saxon England to the end of Medieval Britain. We journey through with period costume for every child and a wide selection of period artefacts for the children to handle. All of which brings this gruesome and innovative time in our history to life.
However, this workshop is not all blood filled. We aim to teach how those who did not abide by the laws of the time were accused, the trials they would receive and the punishments they then underwent if found guilty and how this changed and developed over hundreds of years.
This workshop is also about early laws and early lawmakers, explaining the basis and creators of todays legal system.
Plus we have the excitement of our child safe and child friendly full size stocks for everyone to try and have their photograph in.
